Veneers are thin coverings that are placed over the front part of your tooth that look like natural teeth. Veneers can be used to correct a wide range of dental issues, including stained, chipped, crooked or damaged teeth. They can even help conceal uneven spaces between teeth.

It is a simple, non-invasive procedure that usually takes approximately 2 hours. The process combines a special lamp, referred to as a Zoom!® light or Zoom!® laser, with a hydrogen peroxide-based whitening gel. Using both, a skilled dental assistant will bleach each tooth and produce a brighter smile by the end of the treatment. If you are new to Mt. Baldy Dental Center, an exam and x-rays may need to be done prior to this treatment

It starts with a quick 20 to 30 minute appointment, where an assistant takes a digital scan of your teeth. A lab will make your custom fit trays from that scan. The kit will include the trays and bleach and will be sent directly to your home. Place a small dot of gel in each tooth section of the tray and wear it for as little as five minutes or as long as a few hours, and as often as your sensitivity allows. If you have any sensitivity, we also have a special toothpaste you can use in the days leading up to bleaching and during. Additional bleach is available for purchase at the office.
